Foster Farms

When I lived on the west coast, I always enjoyed the Foster Farms “imposter” chicken TV commercials. For those of you who live east of the Mississippi, Foster Farms is a California company that brands their chicken as cage-free, with no hormones or antibiotics, and “raised in the California sunshine”.

The idea being that Foster Farms chicken is so good, ordinary chickens are jealous and would do anything to be known as Foster Farms chicken. That’s where these guys come in. The commercials always centered around the outrageous lengths the two “imposters” would go to trying to pass themselves off as official Foster Farms chickens.

I was thrilled just to get to audition for the project and even more thrilled to be selected. It was one of best recording sessions I’ve ever been in. All we did was laugh. The creative team at Erich & Kallman did a great job writing those scripts.
